The New Zealand motor-cyclists who arc to compete at the newly-formed Kilbirnie Stadium next Saturday night, when the sport of dirt-track racing js to be introduced, have been classified in two grades. In addition to the New Zealanders there will be Gus Clifton- and Max Graham, the well-known dirt-track riders from Australia, who we arriving from Sydney to-night by the Ulimaroa. The appearance of these champions, who are bringing special machines with them, will be a special attraction in that they are accomplished mx the art of broadsiding, but there are among the New Zealanders some who have also performed with distinction on Australia's dirt tracks. Allen and Arnott have had successes in Australia, and their contents with the visiting Australians should serve as an excellent example of the thrills which have made 'dirt-track racing so popular in other countries. Other competitors include winners of championships in recent motor-cycle races on the grass track, and it was only lnst Saturday at Auckland that Eanby won the middleweight championship, and Kilmister, Morgan, Arnott, and Bray were among the conspicuous performers, Arnott; winning a five;milc handicap in one of: the most thrilling finishes of the day.
The events set down for Saturday night include a special contest for the golden helmet in which the four best riders at the meeting, will be the participants. The programme provides for racing every few minutes for two hours. The start is to be at 8 o'clock,
