In exercise and observance of powers and authorities vested in it 1 by the Counties Act, 1920, and all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf the Council of tho County of Hutt hereby makes by way of Speoial Ord,er the following By-laws:— ' 1. This by-law shall be incorporated with and form part of the by-laws of the Council of tho County of Hutt made by Special Order passed on the 10th 'day .of June, 1924, and confirmed on the Bth day of July, 1924, and , which .came into force on the.4tb day of August, 1924. 2. Motor vehicle means any motor-car, motor carriage, motor-cycle, or other vehicle propelled . upon public streets wholly or partly by any volatile spirit, steam, oil, or by any means other than animal power- except vehicles used ir railways or tramways. 3. No person shall within the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on any Sunday or public holiday wilfully cause or permit any motor vehicle to stand upon any of the County roads hereinafter named, and the Council may from time to time by resolution duly advertised in gome newspaper in general circulation within the Coun'-y resolve that County roads' other than those County roads hereinafter named be subject to this part of this by-law provided that this part of this by-law shall not apply to any motor vehicle into or from which any_ person is then entering or. alighting or into or from which goods are. at the time being loaded or unloaded but'it shall apply to any motor vehicle whether public or private which is waiting for any person or for any goods and . whether such vehicle, being a public vehicle, is engaged or not or is \ waiting in pursuance of a previous engagement or not: MAIN ROAD, DAYS BAY, trom the intersection' of Ferry road to the intersection of Moana road • except the extreme western edge of tho formation and so as not to encroach more than three feet upon the bituminous surfacing. - MAIN ROAD through Lowry Bay from Point Howard on the northern side ot Lowry Bay to the southern extremity of Lowry Bay. No person, shall drive, any motor vehiclo on any Sunday or public holiday within the hours aforesaid in a northerly direction on .Tui road or up that portion of Moana road or down that portion' of Kereru road lying between Tui road ami the main road at Days. Bay; 5. This by-law shall come into force and take effect on the 20th day of March, 1029.
