Practices in connection -with Choral Union will, for the 1029 - season, commonce to-mor-row evening, in the St. John's Schoolroom, Dlxon street, at 8 o'clock. Tho work solectod for the first concert will bo Dr. Vaughan William's latest work, "The Sea Symphony," which has. not hitherto been performed in Australia or New Zealand. Mr. John Bishop, the musical director, will bo present at St. John's to-mor-row evening at 7.20 for tho purpose of interviewing intending now members. During the last month Mr. Bishop had a heavy task on retesting tho wholo of the chorus. This work has.now been completed, and it is understood tho choir balance is now fairly even. There aro still -vacancies for all parts, but particularly teuors and basses. It is Mr. Bishop's intention to commence sight reading classes almost at once, but details will''bo announced at tomorrow night's practice. Such classes will not be confined to Choral Union members.
