The cyclone which was centred off the north coast of New South Wales on Saturday is moving eastward only slowly. Pressure has fallen gradually under its influence since Saturday, and winds have backed through east to northerly. The weather was mainly fair during the week-end, but cloud has Increased and this morning overcast conditions were the rule with much mist or fog. Light rain has fallen on the west coast of the South Island and \ the regions surrounding Cook Strait. Saturday night was cool, but temperatures have risen since. ■ '■■ ■■■'■ •
