DUNEDIN, 25th April.

The Plunket Shield cricket match, Otugo v. Canterbury, was resumed to-day in varying weather, rain hindering the play for an hour in the afternoon. The wicket was good, however, though a little soft this afternoon. Otago continued its innings, and made 602 before A. W. Alloo declared the innings closed. Blunt wont on this morning and more than doubled his not out score'of 104, being caught off Pago at 221. The visitors commenced their second innings disastrously, both Page and Hamilton losing their wickets for 8 runs. At stumps Harris also was out for 7, the position being three wickets down for 47, Roberts not out 24. At lunch Blunt was 210, and Galland, who followed Dickinson, was 17. After resumption at 3.25 p.m., rain having held up play, Blunt was caught off Page by Roberts at deep square leg. 509—C—221. fie had batted in his best style most of the time, but early in the innings gave some ridiculous chances.
