At Bluff, a westerly galo was blowing at 0 a.m. to-day. Generally, however, the weather has remained fair, though at times thero has beon considerable cloud, and at a, f ew isolated places light showers. The forecast is for mainly west to south winds, at first frosh to strong in and south of Cook Strait, later backing to north-west and north; and freshening in northern districts.. The weather is likely to be unsettled, with scattered showers in the western districts from Taranaki southwards, but mainly fair to cloudy. Later, conditions should become sultry with rising temperatures and more generally unsettled weather is probable by tho week-end.
