CHARGE OF WOUNDING

Owen Llewellyn Udy (18), of Carterton, appeared in Court this morning on a charge of wounding Albert John Udy "in the stomach with a knife. The incident is alleged to have occurred at Carterton last night, the injured man being admitted to Masterton Hospital. The accused was remanded.
The adjourned hearing of the charge against Udy took place at the hospital this afternoon. The depositions of Albert John Udy, whose condition is serious, were heard. Ho said that it was an accident. He slipped on the concrete at the back door and fell on the knife. He did not see the accused ■with a knife, and Ind no. words with him, neither did lie J'ike the accused. He was quite good friends with his son.
