■ Quito a number of semi-final games wove got off yesterday, and provided good entertainment for the numerous visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Boocock were successful in the semi-final of the championship doubles agaiust Mesdames Walker and Mouul. By si misprint yestorday the game was given as a final. They meet Mesdames Wiekens and Watson (i'eatherston) in the final. The following games were convicted yesterday afternoon:—

Open Championship, second life. — Mrs. Watson v. Mrs. i'east, 26-13. Ladies' Championship, first life.— Mrs. Johnson v. Mrs. Bush, 2G-2. Second lifo: Mrs. Wiekens v. Mrs. Mo'eller, 20-12.

Club Pairs.—Mesdames Johnson and Walker v. Mesdames Booeock und M'Hroy, 20-17; Mesdames Mitchell and Mauton v. Mesdames Collins and ColIcy. 26-15.

Handicap Singles, A grade.—Mr. Boocock v. Mrs. Pink, 26-5. Post Entry Handicap Doubles.—Mesdames Warner and Monks v. Mesdames Living and Marsdon, 20-15; Mesdames Roumlhill and Taylor v. Mrs. Wright and Mr. King, 20-6; Mesdames Capes and Spenco v. Mesdames Eddie and King, 2(5-21; Mesdames Eddie and Gillbanks v. Mesdames Pawson and Andrews, 2G-23. ' -

The game of the day was that between Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Bush, though the latter was but permitted to look on whilo Mrs. Johnson played the croquet. Mrs. Johnson mado tlio first hoop with one ball, and in her next turn made ten, then eight, then four, and also croqueted a ball through rover hoop from an almost impossible angle. She was not in a good position for the peg, and could not risk it, as Mrs. Bush was entitled to a lift shot.. Sho played safe, and Mrs. Bush missing, Mrs. Johnson pegged out amid great applause The gamo lasted exactly twenty-five minutes, which is tho samo time as Miss D. D. Steol's record gamo in Wanganui last season.
