The third Hawke- Cup match of the season, commenced this' morning against the AVairarapa, the challengers. Ongley (Manawatu) won the toss and elected to bat. . ,
. Pacey and AVild were the opening batsmen. They played quietly, the half-century appearing after eighty minutes. The first wicket fell with tho store at 73 r AVild going lbw.
