NEW BRIDGE WANTED
TIMAIUJ, 29th January
The Minister of Public Works (Hon. E. A. Eansoru) visited the site of the dam of the Waitaki Biver hydro-clec-trie works to-day, and received a deputation from the Waimate County Council asking for the erection of a bridge thereabouts, as it was stated that the works would interfere with the ( slip road which was already dangerous, and access was needed by the settlers. The Minister said the matter would be gone into. He then officially opened the V.M.C.A. hut for the men employed on construction.
