PARIS, 25th January. Lurid light on .the psychology of crimes a'lid passion' in France was revealed in the trial of Madamei Godin, at tho Assize. Court at Riom on a charge of murdering her .husband. Madame Godin was divorced before she married Godin, and was the mother of two grown-up girls. She bought her sec. ond husband a business, but he was lazy and addicted to women. There were continual quarrels, and finally he so angered his wife that she pulled'a loaded revolver from her stocking, and, holding her husband with her right hand, shot him.with tho left in the presence of her-daughters, who did »o't intervene. When her husband fell the wife bent over.the dead body and said: '' "Poor devil. I should, like to kiss you, but I can't. You are dying for the kisses of others." •
