BRISBANE, This Day. The weather in North Queensland has improved, although rain is still falling. Traffic generally is disorganised by the floods. At Bundaberg, however, the flood waters arc receding 'rapidly.
The Prosperine River is in very high flood, and is only a few inches off the record mark. It is still raining heavily. The water is 2ft over the railway lines. The Burdekin River is rising, also. Yesterday the water was over the bridges to a depth of 2ft. Twenty inches of rain has been recorded since Monday and there is no indication of a cessation. It is feared that the low.lying country will bo submerged.
