An application had been made on behalf of Goneral Bramwell Booth to restrain the High Council of the Army from acting on the resolution declaring him physically unlit to remain in office and from proceeding to the' appointment of a successor.
The case was further adjourned until next Tuesday to enable'the parties-to complete evidence.
Addressing counsel, the Judge expressed a sincere hope that every effort would be made.to, adjust the difference without pursuing litigation. He added: "However the case should ultimately reslult, one Cannot but., apprfeci*ate that its conduct is calculated prejudicially tp affect a great and benevolent institution, of which ' all _ your clients are members, and to which I havo no doubt each and every one of them is loyally attached."

The Court was crowded. Sixty-three members of the High Council reserved scats behind counsel. Commissioner Evangeline Booth was the'only notable absentee.
