In the past the Ghilzais have shown animosity to Amauullah, except wken. a foreign invasion appeared to be possible. To-day there is little likelihood of that and none can foretell the outcome Agreements to-day may ba broken to-morrow. Thero are so many, influences at work that to prophesy would be futile. Little change in the situation is expected for a week. The "Daily Telegraph's'V diploma* tic correspondent says that Amanullah's appeal to local tribesmen has not met with the cordial response anticipated. Little surprise would bo felt were Amanullah to throw up tho sponge soon. .
