The Fetono Kifle Club on Saturday fired the lirsi. match over tho lons ranges- to count for tlio flub championships at Traitham, at SOO and 900 yards. Tliero was n good attendance, and the weather was tine; but "at ■times' tho wind was very puzzling and troublesome. At 800 yards the sliootlns was consistently good, pur-, tlcularly with the B trade members. T. Chapman with '19 was top scorer nt this range, with 0. I'cdcrsen 'IX nest, J. Hunter and Jt. A. U'lltoh '17 each. At the 900 yards distance tlic wind was very changeable, and required careful attention, and in - consequence the scoring was low. I. J. Teal and A- Weir each beat the club standard with 43 cadi', followed by L. Hide aud h. Wales with 44 each, und A. O'Donnell and A. Ballinßcr with 43 each. Tho best totals off tho Rim for tho day were: .P..J.-Tcal.9o, L, Itulo 90, O. l'ctlcraen 80, 0. Hunter 89, and A. Weir 88, and the spoon winners were O. I'ederscn ami E. Jinlllngcr foe A Grade, A. Weir and P. J. Teal for B Grade, and .1. Hunter for C Grade. The team competition resulted in a win for \V. M'lver's team with 348 points (L. Itulo 00, A. Weir 88, ]■;.■ Ballinger SO, W. M'lver 84), followed by W. H. Ballinger's team 337, T. ' Warburton's team 335, It. H. Nicholl's team 384, A. O'Dounell's team 328. The ranges noxt Saturday will be SOO and 900 yards, the competition being the final match for the club championship, and to count for the other 1 handicap aggregates.
