The "Sunday Chiomclo" states that a Bradford tram "conductor, Tom Shutt, smiled allmmgly on a bude en loute for chuich, Miss Peaison, who immedi ately disappeaied and cancelled the wedding. She- leappeaied nc\t day as Shult's bride, and was mdiiied by special license. The jilted bndegroom took the blow like a hero. He wished the couple a happy life. "I couldn't marry the other after I saw Tom's s,mile," confessed Mrs. Shutfc. She admitted that she saw Tom once previously when he also smiled. It was love at first sight.
