In the Sheffield Shield match against Queensland, Victoria won the toss and batted. Both sides were below strength, -especially Victoria, duo to the absence of players engaged in the Test match. The wicket was perfect. Victoria lost four wickets for 203 (Eigg and Baring each 50, Scarfe not out 38). Rain during the tea adjournment continued and stumps were drawn at 5.10 p.m.
