Playing at Newtown Park, Fullers' Vaudeville Co. ("League of Notions") batted first against "New Zealand Truth," and scored 211 (C. Hayman 105 retired, S. Beck 24, W. Monkhouse 16, L. Coltman 13, A. Rayne 24, T. Stratton 10). J. Hennessey took five wickets for "Truth," who replied with 47 (Sealey 17). A. Rayne secured eight wickets, and Hayman two. In their second innings "Truth" lost three wickets for 112 (W. R. King 02 not out,G. Mummery* 19 not out).
