UPPER HOUSE ALTERS BILL United Press Association—By Electric Tele Eraph- CopyrichL (Received 28th November, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day The Income Tax Bill was further amended in the Legislative Council by raising the exemption from £250 to £300. ' Mr. F. S. Boyee, Attorney-General, stated that this would mean a reduction of £160,000 on the anticipated revenue from the Bill. Yet another amendment was then adopted leaving the exemption at £250 for taxpayers whn«e net incomes exceed £400.
