SHOP RANSACKED
QUANTITY OF GOODS STOLEN. / (By Telegraph.) (Special to "the Evening Post.") CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The shop of Mr.'E. P. Jerman, hairdresser and tobacconist, Colombo street North, near • Edgeware road, was entered by burglars during last night, and a large quantity .of goods stolen. When Mr. Jerman arrived at the shop this morninjg. he found.it in a state of confusion. . The shelves aiid cupboards had been stripped of cigarettes and tobacco, and :razors and shaving gear had been practically '■ cleaned out. Empty-."-boxes .were ..scatteredabout the floor. The goods taken'were valued at about £30. k Mr. Jerman had .replenished his stocks only yesterday,' and it is the second time within tho past few months that his establishment has been visited by burglars. The intruders gained entrance to the shopi through a billiard room-at the back of ,the premises. In August of' this year the shop was robbed and £20 worth of goods taken; a fortnight previously Mr. Jerman's home was thoroughly ransacked.
