NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Hutt County Council held on Friday the 16th November, 1928, the following resolution was passed:— "THAT in pursuance and in exercise of j the powers vested in it by the Counties J Act, 1920, Section 17 of the Local Bodies' | Loans Act, 1926, and of all other Acts j and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling (Orders-in-Council under The Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and Section 114 of The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926) having been obtained and with I the consent of the ratepayers of the No. 27 Special Rating District, being portion of , the Epuni Riding, in the County of Hutt testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers in the said Special Rating District the capital values of whose properties as appearing in the valuation roll of the said County are collectively greater than the capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did not so consent the Hutt County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows:— 1. THAT the Council proceed to raise a loan of One thousand seven hundred pounds (£1700) for the purpose of constructing ( a water-supply within the said area. 2. THAT such Loan be called "The Hutt County Epuni Hamlet Water Supply Loan of £1700, 1928." 3. THAT the currency of tho said Loan shall be for a period of twenty (20) years commencing on the first day of December, 1928, and maturing on the first day of December, 1948. 4. THAT the interest on the said Loan shall be at the rate of six pounds (£6) per centum per annum and shall be payable half-yearly on the first days of June and December in each and every year. 5. THAT the form of security for the payment of principal and interest on the said Loan shall be Two (2) debentures of Five hundred pounds (£500) each • and one (1) debenture of Seven hundred pounds (£700) and relative cou- ; pons in a form in conformity with the provisions of the Local Bodies' ' Loans Act, 1926. 6. THAT the Council doth hereby appro' r priate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said -loan and the interest sinking fund and other charges thereon the special rate of forty-one 1 one hundredths (41/100ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (oil the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the No. 27 Special Rating District, being portion of the Epuni Riding, in the County of Hutt. 7. THAT the principal and interest shall bo payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington. 8.
