DISCUSSED AT ASSEMBLY (By Teleip-aph^-r-Preiiß Association.) AUCKLAND, 26th Nov. The General Assembly of the Presby-. teriau Church of New Zealand con, tinucd its sessions to-day. The morning was devoted to the report of the board of education, which emphasised that the Church's colleges were fulfilling an important function in the life of the Dominion, The burden of debt upon the college boards was still healthy, and the committee suggested that the Church should raise a substantial endowment fund for the relief of the "colleges. The report and the recommendations were adoptod. Tho debate was resumed on the proposal that a general secretary should be appointed and that his office should be combined with that of home mission superintendent. After a lengthy discussion the proposal was rejectod. A large ' missionary demonstration was held in the Town Hall to-night.
