The Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Company, Ltd., Hamilton, reports good yardings of both ox and cow beef, prices slightly easier, best ox making from 40s to 425, and best cow 35s to 36s per 1001b. Prices are still firm for fat wethers, but a considerable drop ha. taken place for shorn ewes. "Although no export price for lamb is out, we understand it will open up at 9'/_d." There is a strong demand for shorn two aud four-tooth store wethers, also a good inquiry for ewes and lambs. A keen demand exists for all classes of store cattle. Young _n.-J grown steers, good store sows, yearling and two-year heifer, are all meeting witn strong compe; tition, due, uo doubt, to the abundance of feed throughout the district. Although the sensou is well advanced, high prices are still ruling for good cows and springing heifers. Heavy yardings of'both fat and store, pigs, with prices easier for baconers and porkers, prices being equal to 4%d lb. Competition is keen for all classes of .tores.
