PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
An unusual series of laughable complications form llin theme of "Phyllis of the Follies," which will be screened at tho Paramount Theatre to-night. It concerns the love affairs of a wealthy man-abont-town of New York, who has an unhappy knack of interestlug himself in chorus girls, who invariably bleed him for a healthy amount of "breach of promise" money. This happens so often that his lawyer persuades him to philander with married women, but Is qulto unprepared for the turn of events which made his own v.'ifo the first intended victim. Alice Day is the chorus girl pal, and Matt Jloore plays the role of the lawyer, with Lyllan Tashman as his wife. Kdmund Burns is the character who finds love-making an expensive pastime. The cast is well chosen, and each plays his or her part to perfection. In all, "Phyllis of the Follies" is an entertainment wortli while.
