EMPIRE THEATRE, ISLAND BAY.

Tho splendid programme at tho Empire Theatre to-night is headed by "The Big Noise," starring Chester Conklin. This hilarious comedy concerns John Sloval, a subway guard, who is accidentally hailed as the hero of tho town. Chester Conkling provides comedy that is in a class of Us own. The supporting cast includes Sam Hardy, Alice White, Ned Sparks, and Bodel Rosing. The second feature is a Tim M'Coy Western, "Riders of the Dark." It is the story of a lawless gang who terrorise the people. How their raids aro frustrated provides a very exciting story. The supporting cast includes Dorothy Dwan, Bert Jtoach, and Roy D'Arcy. There is an excellent supporting programme.
