Anbthef work to be taken into account in connection with the framing of next year's estimates is to improve West roady Creswick ' terrace, and the corner of Harbourvicw and Northland roads. The City Engineer has been instructed to prepare an estimate of the cost of improving Shirley, Dutliie, Beauchamp, and Campbell. streets', and Messines road, in the Kavori district. Arthur street, which is at present included in the loan schedule for paving, is to be stirfacc-sealcd instead of paved, providing there aro no legal difficulties. Tenders aro to bo called in the City Council for the erection of conveniences at Seatoun Park, an amount having been included in the loan schedule for this purpose. A stormwator drain at Fancourt street will be piped, at an estimated cost of £103, provided the Church of England authorities agree to' pay half the cost of .the work. The existing taxi-stands near the Public Trust Office, Lambton quay, and on the north-west sido of. Stout street, are to' b'(J abolished, and; a new stand is. to be established in the' centre of Stout street; < Cars are prohibited from parking at the Gre3centy Boseneatli, and in that pdrtibii of (jfaffon1 rdad between its junction ■ with ' Maida Vale . road and the Crescent. ,
