Sixty-five years ago on 11th November the ship William Miles arrived at Auckland from London with 339 passengers including the third party of Albcrtlan.d settlers. The voyage occupied 102 days. Among the survivl drs of those who came to New Zea^ land on the vessel is Mr. A. E. Glover^ formerly member of Parliament for Auckland Central. Mr. Glover made tho voyage as a boy of 13. An area of Town Belt adjacent to Taupiri-Bt., Hataitai, is to be set aside for a children's playground.
