The Australian Dried Fruits Control Board have cabled from Melbourne to their New Zealand agents advising withdrawal of all grades of currants, and also 3-crown sultanas from further sale, owing to f supplies for. export being exhausted. This leaves only plain quality and 1-croivn and 2-crown sultanas still available. The demand for these grades of fruit are at their heaviest during the next two months. New season's Sicily 'almonds for shipment from London in January are quoted at 10s per cwt under curreut rates. Muscatels for the Christmas trade, arc reported as openiug up very well. Singapore pineapples' remain at a low price level. IV nang cable advices show no change in prices for tapiocas, the market remains firm. Norwegian brisling are. reported by private cable as in very short supply, but there has been a drop in the price of sild.
