WEALTH AS A TRUST
USE FOR A WORTHY CAUSE SYDNEY BENEFACTOR'S VIEWS United Proas Association—JJy Eleotrlc Tel«graph—Copyright. SYDNEY, 21st October. Mr. Geovgo Bosch, the wealthy importer, who recently made \ gifts of £220,000 to Sydney Univeraity, sailed yesterday on a holiday cruise to Java, Japan, and China. Interviewed before his departure, he said that his doctrine was that a man who amaaßed wealth from business was no more th^ri a trustee of that money, and he was under a moral obligation to use it for some worthy cause. "I sincerely trust that what I have done will prompt other men of wealth to do likewise. Hundreds of men in Sydney are doing nothing but holding on to property while the value rises. There are some men who derive immense satisfaction merely from a sense .of possession and accumulation of money. I am not one of these. I have received literally hundreds of letters asking for money, from all manner of persons, My friends aro saying, 'You must get away from it all,' and I am going. I shall attempt to deal with genuine cases on the voyage."
