A TOUR OF INSPECTION Australian Press Association. LONDON, 18th October. Mr. Walter Marks has had a lengthy conference with Sir Owen CunliflCoLister, who expressed gratification with Australia's excellent quota plan to heln British films. J Mr. Marks ascertained that British studios during the current year were preparing hundreds of films on which £3,500,000 would be spent, but a Bri. tish talking film machine was not yefc perfected. However, much experimenting in that direction was being carried out. Mr. Marks recognised that the use of the American machine meant only American films. Mr. Marks wtft leave on 22nd October to inspect Parisian and Berlin studio;;, and will then go to the United States, where he will spend a fortnight at Hollywood.
