STRAND THEATRE.
Rich in romance and action, and with John Barrymoro giving tho finest performance of his illustrious screen career, "Tempest," a spectacular picturo having as Its background Imperial and -evolutionary Russia, is the feature at the Strand Theatre. "Tempest" Is filled with action, not to mention plenty of humour, from tho opening of tho story, when tho star is a peasant officer plunged Into tho Bay life of pre-war Russia, to the final scenes, when ho rescues a princess, his sweetheart, and escapes with her to a new life of happiness. As peasant soldier, dashing officer, lover, prisoner, nnd revolutionary, Barrymore imbues his part with fire and sincerity. Among the other players are Louis Wolhelm, George Fawcett, Ulrich Haupt, Boris do Fas, and Lena Malena. A gazette and comedy are also screened, and appropriate music ia supplied by tho orchestra.
