STRAND THEATRE.
John Barrymore, one of the screen s greatest actors, heads the cast in "Tempest, a marvellous picture of Russia, which commenced its second week's screening at the Strand Theaatre yesterday. Camilla Horn, beautiful, anil an excellent dramatic artist, and Louis Wolheim. are among tho supporting artists. Ivan Markov, a peasant, studies hard to improve his position in the Russian army. Ho becomes a lieutenant, but even then ho is scorned by his better-bred colleagues and refused admission to aristocratic social circles. It is doubtful if Barrj'mpro has ever done better acting for the screen than in his part as Markev, and Camilla Horn, too, in a difficult role as a haughty princess who suffers much at tho haads of Hie revolutionaries, is most inspiring. "Tempest" is extremely well mounted, and holds the interest to the end. The supporting pictures are of high standard, and the orchestra plays pleasing and appropriate music.
