FROCKS AND FURNITURE
Parisian dressmakers are now classed with the decorative artists who' are doing such good work in French -homes. Indeed, the relationship between dress anil furniture is now very- close. Dresses must have 'backgrounds,1 and backgrounds must haye1 dresses, if they are to give their best effects. All these little thin ends of wedges are being cleverly inserted into daily life, and Paris-finds growing up "homes," real homes, in which live charmingly-dressed ladies. The old days of red velvet, gold frames to chairs, palms, flowers in little vases all over the room, and cushions on sofas and chairs—not on the floor— have given place to a new era, with furniture and decoration which,;go perfectly with modern wear.
