During 1927 the Royal Air Force* fatalities totalled 52 out of 133 casualties all told, compared with 78 and 179 respectively in 1926. The present casualty risk is the lowest recorded. Imperial Airways' machines from 1925 to 1927 flew 2,400,000 miles and carried 54,000 passengers without a se« rious accident.
