CONCILIATORY TOUCH Australian Press Association. PARIS, 28th September. According to hints from tho Quai d'Orßay, whero the American Note would be delivered on Saturday, President Coolidge added a conciliatory touch
when completing the final draft. It is understood that President Coolidgc intimated that America does not agree with the French viewpoint. Tho Quai d'Orsay spokesman sAid: — "If so, the Franco-BritHi agreement ends, but we hope to find fn acceptable basis for negotiations after Japan and Italy reply to the suggestion. If thrown out, it would be better to send a Commission of naval experts of Washington than negotiate through tho em^ iTiassies."
