At the King Georgo Theatre, Lower Ilutt, on Monday next, at 8 p.m., tlio Hutt Valley Operatic and Dramatic Society is staging the two-act musical comedy "Cupid and the Ogre." Tho comedy Is absolutely modern, "and every style of entertainment, including an Old English Gavotte, is woven into the main plot. It will be the first occasion on which the play has been produced In New Zealand, and If It is in any way as enthusiastically received as it was in England when after a prolonged run it was rebroadcast several times in response to over 250,000 letters of request, then patrons aro assured of an excellent evening's entertainment.
