WAR DEBTS TO BRITAIN
FRENCH AND ITALIAN PAYMENT British Offlcltl Wlreleu. RUGBY, 16th September. The French Government yesterday; paid the sum of £4,000,000 to the Brit» ish Government as the fifth payment on account of the French war debt. The Bank of England to-day receiv* ed the sum of £2,125,000 from the Italian Government, being the sixth instalment under the settlement of the Italian war debt to Great Britain.
