NEW TYPE OF LINER P. AND 0. SERVICE TO INDIA Britisb Official Wireless BUGBY, 15th September. There will be launched on the Clyde this afternoon an important new type of liner. The vessel, which has been built for the- Peninsular and Oriental Company, is named the Viceroy of India. It is to. be propelled by electricity. The ship will have separate accommodation for each of 450 saloon passengers, and there will also be provision for over 200 second-class ca,bin. passengers and a crew of 400. Special cooking facilities are provided for Europeans, Hindus, and Moslems. The Viceroy of India is claimed by the Peninsular and Oriental Company to be the ship of the year.
