FIRES

Two small outbreaks of fire were attended to by the Fire Brigade this morning. . The first, which occurred at thirtyfive minutes past 2 o'clock, resulted in tho contents in the rear portion of a small lock-up confectionery shop in Cuba street being damaged by lire and water. The second occurred shortly after 8 o'clock at a ladies' toilet shop in Manners street. Only very slight damage was done.
