WELLINGTON COLLEGE CARNIVAL.

Preparations arc well under way for the Wellington College grand carnival which is to be opened by Her Excellency Lady •\lico Fer^issoii, on Friday, 21st September, at 2.30 p.m. The carnival ia to continue on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening, concluding with a cabaret dance. The object is to raise funds to floor and equip the basement of the Memorial Hall as a gymnasium and social hall, and also to develop a much needed new sports ground to. tho east of Firth House. In addition to outdoor and indoor amusements, there will be stalls of all kinds, side-shows, and scientific displays. On Saturday evening a concert is being given by Mrs. Martyn Williams and pupils. Drivers of cars are notified, that there will bo one-way traffic, entrance being Dufferin street avd exit Brougham street.
