In the series of billiards and snooker competitions arranged by Billiards, Ltd., between the bowling clubs of the city, Karon met New town during the week. The following is the result, Karori players being mentioned first:— Billiards—Gillespie beat King; Sterling beat Purvis; A. Gilbert beat Webster; and E. Gilbert beat Jessep. Snooker —Nimmo beat Sexton; Hazlewood beat Hodgson; Cooke beat Russell; and Gapes lost to Haigh, Karori thus winning the competition by seven games to one. f __^—
