The Department of Agriculture has.received the following cablegram, dated 15th September, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow.—No auction this week owing to lack of fresh supplies. Hewp.—Manila market dull and easier. Closing value J grade October-December shipments £35 10s. Output Ist January to Slßfc. August, 918,000 bales against 837,----000 same period last year. Stocks in Manila on 31st August, 159,000, against 145,000 same time last year, and in Great Britain 18,500, against 4700. Sisal market quiet, and only small business doing. Value No. 1 £35 10s to £35 15s, and No. 2 £34 to £34 se. New Zealand: Somewhat more offering-but buyers show less interest, .having covered immediate requirements. Nominal values: High points £31 15g, fair -£2S IBs. common £27 10s; row (second grade) £2], third grade £.17 15s; September-November shipments. Wool.—Bradford market quiet.
