WELLINGTON COLLEGE CARNIVAL.

On Friday tho 21st, at 2.30 ]>.w., Her Excellency the Lady Alice Fergusson will perform the opening ceremony of a two dayß' carnival on the College Grounds. Tho function is unique in the annals of Wellington College, being the first of its kind to be held, and the ladies in particular are leaving no stone unturned to make it a great success. There will be stalls of every kind, and the usual side-shows. On the Saturday afternoon there will bo a short sports programme. The proceeds will be devoted to improvements at the college, including a new sports.ground. To supplement the funds an excellent short history of. Wellington College has been published, written by onc-of the present boys and illustrated by another boy— a very creditable production which can be commended to .ill whose interests ar§S with Wellington College.
