"JOY JERQUES."
Joy Jerques, described as a representation of all that Is best in modem gymnasia, will bo produced to-night in tho Grand Opera House. Three hundred members of the Y.JI.O.A. Gymnasium, under the leadership of Mr. J. A. Duffy, will be taking part. The setting of tho production Is designed to provide tho Diiblic with something unusual in tho sphere of entertainments, 'as well as clcvatlnpr and educative. Thero will be a programme of twenty items full of life and activity, a host of daring performers, clowns, beautiful oriental and other scenes and settings. Specialty items by tho men will include human ants, the bhortNall Sam Troupe, acrobatics, feats of strength, skill, and swiftness, and equestrian elasticities. The ladies and girls will bo seen in several beautiful and graceful numbers, Including "The Doll Shop," "In Old 'Madrid," a Russian scene, "The Joy Jerques in Acrobatics. "Amid the Sands of Sahara," and "The Joy Belles." In addition there will be picturesque items In which a large number of boys and girls will take part. Lea Warner will appear with his team of diminutlvo clowns. sno musical arrangements will bo in the capable hands of Mr. Frank Crowther's orchestra.
