SKIN AND HIDE SALES.

The usual fortnightly sale of shee[>sfkins, Slides, and tallow was held yesterday. There was a good attendance of buyers. Compared with previous sale ox and cow hides of all weights were tinner, and in, some instances increased prices were obtained. Kips and yearlings were on a par and light calfskins were about Hid higher. Specially. prepared calves under 51b, sold up to 19% d. Salted sheepskins were somewhat weaker, aiid dry skins showed, a further decline of Vsd to Id. Tallow sold well at late sale.rates. The range of prices obtained is as-follows:— Dry Sheepskins: Halfbred lud.to 16% d, fine crossbred 13d to 16d, medium crossbred I2d to W&d, coarse crossbred -12d to 13& d, half wools lOd to 13% d, quarter wools 8d to 12% d, pelts Sd to, 9d. Salted Skins:'. Pelts 4s 2d,- quarter wools BsV 7d, half wools 9s to ,10a 7d, three-quarter wools-.los Cd to Us 2d, full wools :10s to 13s 9d, extra large 15s to 13s Sdj lambs Ss Cd ..to 9s 2d. Hides: O.x, 331b to 441b 10 3-8 dto 11 I-Bd, 431h to 521b 10% d to 10 7-Sd, 531b to 591b lOd to IVM, 001b to 091b lid to UVsd, 701b and. over lHid to 11 5-8 d; cow, 331b to 391b 5d to HHd, 401b to 481b 9 l-8d to 10 7-Sd, 491b and over 9 5-8 d to 10% d; kip, 251b to 321b 8d to 12% d, 171b to 241b lid to 12 7-Sd; yearling, 111b to 161b ll%d to 12 7-8 d; calf, 91b to 101b lOd to 12d, 61b to 81b 15% dto 19d, lib to 51b 13% dto 19% d. Tallow: In casks 28s- to 31s 6d, in tins, etc., 24s to 30s.
