Franklyn Hutchinson, whose unannounced visit to Canada recently caused a stir, has cabled to the Bishop of Chelmsford from Canada, expressing his desire to resume his duties in Doddinghurst Parish, pointing out that he has no funds for the return journey. The parishioners have appealed to the Bishop to permit Mr. Hutchinson to return, but the Bishop has announced that his deeisoin to appoint a successor is irrevocable.
