LAWN TENNIS
JOHNSONVLLLE CLUB The annual meeting of the Johnsonville Lawn Tennis Club was held last week, Mr. W. Mills, vice-president, presiding over a fair attendance of members. The annual report disclosed a satisfactory season's operations. Keen interest was maintained in ladder matches and competitions, and a number of enjoyable friendly matches were played. The club's finances were shown in the financial statement to be in a satisfactory position. After the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, the following officers were elected for the ensuing season: — Patron, Mr. A. A. Moore; president, Mr. W. Mills; vice-presidents, Dr. R. F. Aitken, Messrs. O. Angell, W. J. Carman, S. A. Crichton, F. J. Embury, Fenwick, J. Hallewell, F. Jacobs, M. Lutzsky, V. A. Mills, H. D. Morgan, R. Nordell, and G. C. Rodda, and Rev. Father Griflin; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. Cook; hon. auditor, Mr. G. C. Rodda; management committee, Messrs. W. P. Carman, E. Peryman, C. Richardson, G. K. Rodda, and Riddell; delegate to association, Mr. J Engel; club captain, Mr. G. K. Rodda; ladies' committee, Misses Embury, Hallewell, Lutzsky, M'Davitt, Nordell, and Portway (convener).
