SHORTT'S THEATRE.
"A Ru.co for Life," starring Rln-Tin-Tin, is being showu at Shortt's Theatre. This is the dog's fourteenth screen triumph, and it is acclaimed as tlio most exciting of the lot, winch is saying a great deal. "A Race for Life recounts the adventures of Danny O fehea, who goes with his dog to the Southland, via box car route, there to becomo a jockey for a turfman who has enemies who try to poison tho horse, and succeed in imprisoning Kinty. The uncanny intelligence which the dog shows in extricating himself from all his troubles and in spurring his pal to victory provides a story which will make tho house rock with cheera. Tho human cast consists of Virginia Browne Fnire, Carrol Nyo, Bobby Cordon, James Mason, and Pat .Hartigan. An exciting picture, "Lightning Romance," starring Keed Howes and Ethel Shannon, is tho second attraction. A film showing the lauding of tho Southern Cross ill Christchurch ia included amongst the supports.
