It is interesting to notice the small part the" sailing ship now Plays; in ocean trade world's total tonnage. The dinnkaEO since 1914 is about 2,180,000 tons Of tho L' 95,-00 tons still in commission, 930,600 tons,, or ra ihpr more than 50 per cent, of the total, is owned hi th'o United States, the other counS whichi still have an appreciable amount of such tonnage being Great Mtftm and toj land 121000 tons, Canada 98,000 tons, lianco 89,000 tons, and Italy 80,000 tons.
