FORM FOR TO-MORROW
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post") WANGANUI, This Day. "With excellent acceptances for the majority of to-morrow's races the Wan- j ganui Jockey Club are now assured of a successful meeting. At the time of telegraphing the weather looks threatening, but there is a chance of the rain keeping away. ' Of the fifteen juveniles engaged in the Debutante Stakes backers will probably prefer the chance of the wellseasoned Francolin. Of the other acceptors Coon Song and Speed Light may go well.; A useful lot arc engaged in the Gonville Hurdles. Cohesion may jump better than he did on the first day, in which case he will be dangerous. Beaumont may have better luck than lie did yesterday, when his rider lost a stirrup, and Vexatious is certain to run an honest race. . His showing on Thursday suggests that Roremoana is well in condition, and, as he has much the best of the figures at weight-for-age, lie should be a good favourite. Laughing Prince is another that will put up a good fight. ■ Several of those engaged in the Spring Hack Handicap raced well on Thursday, and the event looks open. Cashier will be improved by Thursday's race, and looks likely to again run well. Desert Lad, Upoko, and Monsogne are others with good prospects. Only six figure in the Moutoa Hack Handicap, but even in this small number the winner.seems to be well concealed. Flying Shot and Moorgas should be the elect of bettors. As Singleton and Teremoana each raced well on Thursday, they should not lack support for the Jtailway Hack Handicap. With eighteen engaged in the Higgie Handicap, backers will have something to solve if all start in this event. Singleton might run well under his seven stone, but Royal Mint and Arch Queen arc two well-seasoned performers that should see the distance right out. There arc also eighteen engaged in the Owen Handicap, and backers may again have trouble in selecting the winner. Although not raced on the first day, Silver Mine is well and may be prominent, but well seasoned acceptors like Oration, Tea Time, and Partaga cannot be despised.
